Hi everyone, I discovered James Spader a little time ago, through his appearance in The Office. I am enjoying his acting in The Blacklist, but I can’t stand the show overall and don’t see myself going further than season 2 or 3. So, I’m asking for you guys help to find good movies with James Spader’s mesmerizingly confident acting. Thank you for your recommandations.

It was a trip watching Alan Shore in the final season of The Practice.
Denny Crane… makes me forget Captain Kirk. But Shatner and Spader together. What a duo.
Secretary (2002) has him acting opposite Gyllenhaal and the entire movie is mesmerizing. A warning that the sexual trauma it presents may not be for everyone, but if commanding presence is what you're looking for...
No trauma. D/s vibe though. It was a great watch.

The Blacklist is the most annoying show ever! They literally dance around the is Raymond Liz's father plotline for like 9 seasons straight, I wouldn't be surprised if they still haven't answered the question in 2022 lol
After watching like 6 seasons I finally said F this and googled it for myself.. only to find out they still hadn't actually answered the question, haven't watched the show since
They did answer the questions eventually, and the original plotline ended in s8. s9 onwards is like a new plotline now lol.
Dont have to worry about that plotline anymore >!Liz is dead.!<

Another recommendation for Boston Legal, his character from Black List is a lot like Alan Shore which he won multiple Emmy’s for playing.
Alan Shore is also prominently featured in the last season of The Practice (S8) which came before Boston Legal.
He was the voice of Ultron in the Marvel movie Age of Ultron. Amazing voice work.

I liked White Palace with Susan Sarandon. Not like Blacklist but the character is confident.
You don't understand the true appeal of Spader until you've seen Sex, Lies and Videotape.
In the avengers, i mean you can’t see him, but that voice.
I liked him in blacklist, i just didn’t like the changing stories as you went further into the seasons
