I’ve been frustrated with trailers that reveal way to much plot/imagery that spoil the movie so I’ve more or less been living a life of avoiding trailers once I know I’m interested in seeing something. However, I’ve been burned a few times like for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood I didn’t know who the Manson family was and thus missed a lot of the suspense intended to be felt in the movie.

Long story short, I’m hoping for a subreddit where people post as much of a premise that the director/producers/writers would intend the audience to know rather than what the advertisers want you to know to get butts in seats

Have you checked out podcasts? Some podcasts have very strict spoiler policies. Ideally, review blogs also should clearly state in advance how much spoiler-content they will have in their reviews.

Idk about subreddits, but just Google movie name synopsis.

Then go read Helter Skelter.
