i’ve been watching a lot of horror movies for the halloween season and am looking for some recommendations. i absolutely adore sam raimi (evil dead 2 is my favorite horror movie of all time) i just watched creepshow for the first time the other day and it blew me away. the re-animator is another big favorite of mine. i’m also very hitchcock obsessed. i love super stylized and exaggerated films with somewhat campy, simple, and efficient story telling.

I loved the 80s flick "My Blody Valentine (1981)."

For a lark watch "Student Bodies (1981)" (all horror movies make money)

The Guest. So much style, with its tongue devilishly in cheek, and the namesake of the title is one of the great characters in the genre.

Creepshow (1982). Stephen King and George Romero collab. It’s fantastic, trust me.

If you enjoy 80's kind of cult classic horror movies, I'd recommend Sleepaway Camp

Willy’s Wonderland was 2-3 drafts away from being a masterpiece.

See Deadstream immediately. That’s Evil Dead 2 influenced. It’s so much fun.
