Hi!

I study prosocial signaling, and I'm in search of a clip that I can put at the beginning of the presentation before just diving right into the content of the talk. I would love a clip where someone has just done some sort of favor for someone, but the recipient of the favor is unaware, and the individual who helped him/her out is trying to somehow let her know, either by outright saying it, pointing to something, etc.

Any ideas? Does such a clip exist?

Not sure if it fits contextually but Robert Redford's head nod in Jeremiah Johnson immediately springs to mind.

"Fly, you fools" from Lord of the Rings (maybe?)

I just watched Mouchette and there's a couple scenes where women give things to the protagonist and try to signal that they've helped her

The scene in The Social Network where the laywer gets Zuckerberg to go on a rant about his attention is very subtle, but at the end the lawyer blinks to his clients to show that they got him, because of how easily they can manipulate him into an angry outburst.
