Hi everyone. I’m currently in search of movies that emit an atmosphere of coolness. For example

Oceans Eleven (12/13) TV Series Succession Boogie Nights Drive The Social Network SLC Punk La Haine

Please don’t recommend any movies by Ritchie, Refn, Tarantino, McKay, Fincher, Soderbergh, as I’ve watched them all.

Thanks a lot for any recommendations!

Are you familiar with David Ayer's work? He wrote Training Day. His older stuff is pretty good. Street Kings is great. Harsh Times is intense.

Shane Black also had some cool work. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is very cool.

I mentioned Social Network since you always feel like something great is unfolding in front of you as you watch. And all those parties, the character of Timberlake, and imo a quite fast pace give you a certain feeling of that coolness I’m talking about

I thought the point was Timberlake was not as cool as he thought, more of a dork. Eduardo saw right through it, and Mark probably did too, but wanted to use what he could to get rich. The other parties were not supposed to be seen as cool, but as how Mark hated having to try to get anything from that crowd by believing he was far superior to them.

Noting this is all from Eduardo’s point of view since the book is told from his side of the story.

Both Get Shorty and Be Cool. John Travolta as Chili Palmer is the epitome of cool.

Le Samouraï (1967). Strongly recommend this French noir film. Alain Delon is impossibly cool in this.

Thanks for the recommendation! Unfortunately I’ve already watched it. Felt like more of a musical clip than a movie, ha-ha. But that’s Edgar Wright I guess

The original Thomas Crown Affair from the 60s isn't amazing (though it is rather good) but it's Cool as hell. Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway were the two coolest people in the world in that film.

I haven't seen any of the movies you listed so I have no idea what brand of coolness you're after, but John Wick, Tombstone, Mad Max: Fury Road, Dollars Trilogy, First Blood and Unforgiven come to mind when thinking of badass movies
