Looking for 10 films to add to my Film Buff Essentials list! Any suggestions?

Hi. I made this Film Buff Essentials list earlier this year and just updated it today. I'm looking for ten (10) films that I can add even if they don't meet any of the criteria for inclusion, which are the following:

The films I'm gonna add just have to be high-quality, culturally significant, cinematically influential, or incredibly popular, as stated in the list description. The 10 replies with the most upvotes will be added to my list!

AFI's 100 movies ranking is, for me at least, the ultimate film buff top tier essentials list. All the films in there, which include all eras of cinema, are masterpieces.

If you are doing you own I'd recommend checking that one.

Eh... AFI's ranking is very US-centric, not to mention that its last update was 2007.

And I dont disagree with any of that, but as a non-US citizen myself, I found it to be a very good ranking, because as I said, all those films are fantastic.
