I'm asking this because I was seeing a lost of possibles nominees for the 2023 Oscars, and I was shocked at the fact that Spielberg's dropping a new movie and I haven't heard of it once.

And that happens more frequently than I'd like, so do you have a website or something you use to be notified or at least to know where you can look at to check if a new movie is releasing?

(Of course I don't mean ALL the movies, just at least those who have a greater chance of appearing on those known movie festivals)

I tend to use IMDb for that, every now and then I go and do some research of the next films that are to be released

I'm checking box office sites, Wikipedia and movie news sites regularly.

I find a lot of it on Reddit, but IMDB sends me trailer notifications and I've searched enough movies that chrome serves me ads based on those searches.

I like the other comment here about searching Wikipedia for "2022 in Film," I use similar searches to get an idea of some of the popular culture in years gone by.

I really just follow directors and actors that I like. Every once in a while I just google Martin Scorcese or Andrew Garfield or whoever and see what they're up to

Film twitter and websites that show when films are due to be released (the websites I look at are UK based so probably aren't relevant to you).

You must have little interest in movies to not know the highly publicized The Fabelmans wasn’t being released. It got a shit load of press after it premiered at TIFF and won the audience award.

My favorite movie release schedule is this one since it seldom omits a release and clearly shows limited and wide:

I follow a lot of youtube trailer channels and this subreddit for new releases and then add them in the TV Time app tontrack them further.

For upcoming, you can use IMDB:

https://www.imdb.com/calendar/?region=us

(you can change the country)

Does not work for past releases, so if I really want to keep track of something, I tend to copy the list into WordPad, so I still have the release dates once the dates are past and not longer show up on IMDB.

Of course, releases get shoved around by studios all the time, so you always need to doible-check.
