Hello

I’m looking for movie recommendations that will inspire me to really make that push to leave my hometown — maybe something that contains serendipitous moments, meeting interesting people, and experiencing life changing opportunities. Also ideally these movies would be available on streaming services like hbo max, hulu, netflix but any movies are welcome!

Thank you

The Way.

It might depend on how religious you are. But doing the Camino de Santiago in person has been on my list of things to do once I saw it. Unfortunately I don’t thinks it’s streaming anywhere. But should be relatively cheap through Apple

Lost in Translation made me want to visit Japan (which I eventually did 3 years ago) even though the film kind of focuses on being alienated in a foreign country which might have the opposite effect of what you're looking for. I just found its portrayal of the country very alluring.
