This movie prompted me to write something in a very long time!

Firstly, I am glad this never released in theatres in my region because I could not have watched it on the big screen. The constant yelling, confusion, camera work, makes you tensed and anxious. I actually watched it over three sessions because I just could not sit through it in one go! Not complaining, appreciated the style.

The ending was rather surprising. I personally liked it because Howard was the source of all the chaos.

You feel quite invested in the story – there were so many moments where I felt the need to yell at Howard to use his brains more and not cause more chaos with the incessant talking!

Definitely a must watch! A good story and Sandler was exceptionally good. However, I don’t think I can ever rewatch this. It’s just too chaotic and stressful.

I was surprised by how good it turned out. Had a really good time but when I try to recommend it people get turned off because of Sandler. Makes sense because of his recent movies in general.

True that. I put this off for 2 years because:

  1. As you rightly said - Couldn’t associate Sandler with a quality non comedy movie

  2. Mixed reviews

Wish he did more. He was perfect in Funny People.

Swear! I guess the goal was to make the audience understand how Howard’s life is

It definitely ratchets up the stress and anxiety.

I've heard it described as the tension of the drug deal scene near the end of Boogie Nights, just stretched out for the entire movie.

The absolute chaos in the movie is one of the most honest representations of living in NYC I've ever seen. I felt like I was right back in the neighborhood I grew up in.

It almost felt like noisy Mumbai in a few scenes!

The constant chaos was a brilliant reflection of Howard’s life…

Too anxiety inducing for too mediocre a film.

I'd recommend it only for Sandler performance of a lifetime!

I wasnt a big fan of the film. The ending was predictable. When u fuck around as much as Howard did eventually you will find out what the consequences are.

I wasnt anxious at all throughout the film. Cause Howard isnt a character that was interesting at all so i could careless if he lived or not. The music is obnoxiously loud.

Turned it of after 10 minutes. Everybody talking at the same time

This movie gave us julia fox, that's very unforgivable

Try watching it with a few breaks

I too nearly called it off within the first 15 minutes. Glad I didn’t!
