The title is “It’s all about love”

——————-

This has been bugging me for years. (And it’s not “Getting Fat in a Healthy Way”)

I thought it was either a movie on cable tv (in the US) or maybe some weird anthology. Maybe sometime between 2000 and 2010?

Every night at the same time, water freezes, such as a glass left out on the night table. Even though I don’t THINK it was cold out. They describe it as just something that happens now

And people start floating away in some poor place (village?). People start tying themselves to parts of their houses and huts to avoid the inevitable. One boy is crying that he doesn’t want to fly away.

I don’t know if these were separate stories or tales in the same movie. Or if it was like a weird end of the world thing where physics breaks.

Seriously. I keep trying to find it but instead get science websites about how water freezes or the synopsis of the movie Gravity.

"It's All About Love" by Thomas Vinterberg. Due to the impending apocalypse, water keeps freezing and it has a scene with people in an African village floating in the air.

Thank you!

My god I’ve been trying to figure out what this movie was for like 15 years. Whenever I mention it to my friends they thought it was some weird fever dream I was misremembering

Thank

You

The film has some lovely imagery but I didn’t think it worked. It’s primarily a love story which I found it hard to get invested in, against a backdrop which can’t make up its mind whether it’s a sci-fi movie about climate change or David Lynch style surrealism.

Lol I honestly don’t even remember too much about it. Or else I could have found it. Hell turns out it has some actors I like in it.

I leave a glass of water on my night table each night. And frequently think about the water freezing scene from that movie. Which then sends me on a spiral of trying to remember anything else about the movie instead of actually sleeping.

Thank you. You’ve saved me countless nights of trying to sleep.

Ill try watching it this week so I can finally get it out of my system.
