Just finished rewatching "The Martian" and I forgot how good it was since I only ever saw it upon release in 2015.
Vince Gilligan (creator of "Breaking Bad" and Co-Creator of "Better Call Saul") says that humans have a built in 'bullshit detector,' meaning that even if we don't fully understand a topic or industry, our brain will either set off red flags or green flags based on how much research clearly went into a project.
"The Martian" blends science fiction with what feels like enough real life science where it's very easy to suspend disbelief. In fact, it feels like a straight up biopic at times. Are there any other films that come to mind?
"Forrest Gump" maybe...
And yes, I know there are funnier answers as well like the new "Weird Al" movie but that was clearly a parody and not trying to convince anyone otherwise.
