I mean, I think most people think that one is the best of the Raimi Spidey movies, and it's one of the more beloved comic book movies of all time.

I thought to re-watch Raimi's trilogy and u definitely made me want to do it. And do u wanna watch third part for bully maguire memes? When I watched it last time I count about 24 memes in third movie.

I re-watched all 3 films and the less said about the 3rd film, the better.

Until recently, SM2 was considered the best or 2nd best superhero movie ever alongside The Dark Knight.

I think all of them have aged horribly and belong in the trash corner with all of the other crap that Raimi has produced. Nostalgia and post-ironic meta-hipstery save the trilogy from being put in the same category as Joel Schumacher's Batman movies. Peter Parker as white Steve Urkel just doesn't roll that hard in a time where we have seen dozens of superheroes much more three-dimensional and grounded.

Also: Mary Jane's screaming every two minutes made me want her to die already. That's another great thing about MCU. They want you to actually like the characters. Lol.

I love both, but jw how come people seem to praise spiderman 2 so much more than the first one? I cant put my finger on what people praise so much about the 2nd one that makes it more esteemed as “one of the best superhero films”, can someone please explain?

It’s my personal favorite Marvel superhero film of all time. I watch every couple of years just to see if it still holds up, and it does remarkably well. The current MCU could learn a lot from that movie.
