I recently rewatched one and two. And Kevin is spoken about as a bad kid but he never did anything wrong. His family is horrible though. Also as a kid how do you know how affective a brick to the head is? He give them multiple chances to give up but they keep coming. Its on them.

Absolutely, they had multiple chances to give up, yet time and time again they only showed that they were thirsty for more.
