Transgressive or Absurdism? Which genre do you like more?

These are two genres I like for different reasons. Here's the definition and some examples.

Transgressive: Involving a violation of moral or social boundaries.

Examples: A Clockwork Orange (1971), Natural Born Killers (1994), The Act of Killing (2012), American Psycho (2000),

Absurdism: The belief that human being exist in a purposeless, chaotic universe.

Examples: The Lobster (2015), Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964), Airplane (1980), Brazil (1985), Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975), Gummo (1997),

Which is your preference of the two and discuss on the genres themselves if you want?

Apropos of not much, but absurdism is actually a philosophical movement while transgressivism and for example surrealism are more like styles.

Clockwork orange was so upsetting! I wish I didn’t still have those images in my head. I watched it when it came out soooo many years ago— it’s not for me!

Are those genres or themes? Regardless I think both can be applied simultaneously to today's times.
