Queen of the Damned. Main songs are written by Jonathan Davis for the movie, plus there are more licenced nu metal songs. This makes the soundtrack a great standalone nu metal album as well.
Dirty Dancing
Footloose
Top Gun
The Blues Brothers
This is a weird question. Forrest Gump and Almost Famous would both fit your criteria. Fight Club ends on a very famous pixies song.
I think Royal Tennebaums would be my favorite.
The first transformers has some incredible scores and then ends on the most banger note from linkin park.
AC/DC's "Big Gun" was recorded specifically for The Last Action Hero, and it kicks ass (and iirc also did peak at No.1 on some billboard/chart)
Interstellar. Hans Zimmer is Incredible
Yeah but does it have a regular song that's as popular now because of the movie?
Warm Bodies (2013). It had an unbelievable soundtrack for its time.
Do people not get my question?
Midnight City by M83 became more well known because of the film.
I don’t think so. Haha. I understand it now. Still thinking though.
The Suicide Squad has some of the best licensed and original music I can think of
I would say a lot of Wes Anderson movies have a memorable score but also use licensed music very well
Black Panther

2001: A Space Odyssey.
The Blue Danube. Zarathustra. And had music made specifically for the film by Gyorgy Ligeti.
