Hands down one of my favorite holiday movies, let alone holiday themed comedies. I always watch this film yearly around this time of year with my family & friends. It never gets old for me, I saw the sequel and it was okay, I guess but I do wish that we got a sequel with the original cast just to see what Howard went through to get his wife a present lol. Solid cast with Arnold, Sinbad, Phil Hartman, Rita Wilson, Richard Moll, Phil Morris, Martin Mull, Robert Conrad, Jake Lloyd, Jim Belushi & The Big Show during his WCW days as The Giant hehe.

"Ta-ta, Turtle Man." is still a quote I use with friends lol, same for "Put dat cookie down NOW!" What did you think of this comedy? Favorite scenes or quotes? Did you ever want a sequel? Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas, everyone!

Yep it's deffo my fave Xmas movie. It just has that slight level of cynicism I require from a comedy. The other half has always favoured home alone. But jingle all the way has become my go to Xmas movie for me. Only Christmas eve I used the line on someone that they couldn't bench press their way out of this one lol.

Phil Hartman is a legend, hard to dislike anything he does.

There was a sequel starring Larry the Cable Guy. I’m sure it was 10 times worse

It is great. My kids love it too so we watch it annually. Also love that painting of Captain America on the wall in the kids room.

Hartman is hilarious in this; "Thanks. We should get together and swap recipes."

Favorite scene is the fight for the balls in the mall; "I'm notda perbert"

And the Santa warehouse fight; "I'm gonna deck your halls bub!"

I love how oblivious the wife and son are during the parade, turboman is being played by a 6'2 bodybuilder with a thick Austrian accent in a small American town but they're absolutely shocked to find out its Howard

The fact that his character is ridiculously ripped and huge is basically completely ignored… except the one time where Phil Hartman says “ you can’t bench press your way out of this one” which is an amazing line, but would’ve made a lot more sense if they ever acknowledged the fact that he is not built like a normal person any other time in the movie

Sinbad is a treasure. Sorry to hear he had a stroke a while back.

A family fave for sure. Even the lines that weren't the main jokes we would laugh at and still quote to this day ("Number one customer," "Nestled safely under the tree...").

Love that Schwarzenegger fully commits to the wacky role. Sinbad and Hartman are funny in everything. We also would crack up at another movie they did together, Houseguest.

My favorite example of this was Kindergarten Cop.

It's been awhile, but I don't remember anyone saying anything about how the new substitute teacher is built like a brick shithouse, which is itself built out of other, smaller brick shithouses.

I do, however, remember the scene where he's walking down the hallway with the principal, who asks him where he's from, to which Arnold replies, "Ach, Ja! I am from ze Chlevelands in Ohio." And the principal is like, "Cool, cool. A fellow Midwesterner. . ."

I love when Sinbad gets carried away on a rant and grabs that old lady and talks about shaking a person until their eye comes out and realizes he's grabbing an old lady so he lets go and says "you shouldn't wear fur." to justify the occurrence.

What a gem! This is my family's favorite holiday movie and we routinely quote "this is a SICK world we're living in with SICK people!" 😂

They did make a sequel to this with Larry the Cable guy; never watched it, never plan to

Jingle is a great movie though. Arnold alone sells this movie. I like the whole consumerism theme mixed in with Christmas and Arnold trying to be a good father. Funny, too.
