I imagine these movies are not similar in the slightest but which one should I watch tonight?

Love Scorsese and never heard of Buffalo 66' so I'm open to either.

I have heard that The King Of Comedy was heavily influential to movies like The Joker.

Feel free to compare the films and what you enjoy about them and please keep it spoiler free (if you can)

thank you!!!

I haven't seen The King of Comedy, but I do really like Buffalo '66. It's a strange movie, kind of artsy/pretentious, but Christina Ricci (who was one of my heroes growing up) is great in it, and the movie reunites her with Anjelica Huston, which is really cool.
I think the movie could be paired with Boogie Nights, so that might give you a rough idea of the feel of it.

Both are excellent, King Of Comedy is more mainstream. Buffalo is more out there.

Joker is essentially just a remake of The King of Comedy

I love both movies! Buffalo 66 is a unique dramedy and King of Comedy is a slept on Scorsese movie.

The King of Comedy is probably the safer choice, Buffalo 66’ is the kind of movie you either really love or really hate. I hated it, but to each their own.

I'll be watching The King of Comedy then thank you! And tbh that's one of the things that intrigues me about Buffalo 66' the most, I've always heard "loved it" or "hated it".

Flip a coin.

Buffalo 66 and King of Comedy are both movies that I appreciate but don't really enjoy. I will say that King of Comedy is much more polished than Buffalo 66.

Buffalo '66 is kind of stupid, as far as I remember. The King of Comedy is very funny and I think you can't go wrong with it.
