2005…Sin City, Batman Begins, Star Wars Ep III, War of the Worlds, Fantastic Four, King Kong, I was at the movies constantly that whole year not just summer. For some reason that year sticks out in my mind vividly compared to others.

I think King Kong was that Christmas, but yeah some solid movies came out during that time.
It’s weird to think about now but Batman Begins was somewhat of a sleeper hit.

No one in my 8th grade class except me and like two other students I barely knew were excited about it, no one else cared. Cut to three years later and EVERYONE in my school was hyped af for Dark Knight.

Even looking back on it, I don’t even remember the marketing for Begins. The thing that stood out at the time was the extremely positive word of mouth.

I saw Sin City in cinema at the age of 15 and it absolutely blew me away. One of the coolest movies ever.
