"Defending Your Life" with Albert Brooks & Meryl Streep is very similar, but there's actually a trial.

They pull up snippets from his life (mostly him screwing up) and also snippets from past lives.

Sounds a little like Disney Pixar’s: Soul

Not exactly to my knowledge but there is a movie called Defending your life that deals with this issue just not with a movie theater as I recall. Edit removed the BBC typo from my answer.

Defending You Life, with Albert Brooks and Meryl Streep. You're on trial in the afterlife, and they show snippets of your life like video evidence.

Do you like old movies? Not the same but along a similar vein. Heaven Can Wait (1943) with Don Ameche. He tells his life story to Satan to explain why he thinks he belongs in hell.

Very different from Heaven Can Wait (1978) with Warren Beatty.

William Castle did the “decide his fate” poll in Mr Sardonicus. Not sure you could sell the idea these days though.

So the movie is his entire life, from birth to death? Like, if he died at 98 years old, the audience is sitting through a non-stop 98 year long movie and then passing judgement?

No wonder everybody goes to hell.
