Eragon.

While the movie is terrible in many ways.

Irons is probably the best part of the films and the only reason I wanted additional films.

Can confirm. Big fan of the books growing up and I hate that movie with a passion.

But it introduced me to Jeremy Irons and I will watch just about anything he is in now.
