Colin Farrell's 2022 releases were all critically successful movies and he gave four completely different performances in them. His range is insane and honestly, although I've always kinda liked him, 2022 put him easily on my number one spot.
The Batman - plays a loud mobster under a ton of makeup completely believably, disappears in the character
After Yang* - plays a somber, grieving man and also does a dance number
Thirteen Lives - plays a diver, does underwater scenes, really sells the perilous situation he's in and the responsibility his character has
The Banshees of Inisherin - plays the town doofus and is both hilarious and tragic
He's just really good in basically everything and his previous couple of roles have also been very diverse, with totally different characters and types of performances.
*technically this is a 2021 movie because of festival releases but went wide in 2022
