I have a 2015 Subaru Impreza that needs some work done on it. I’m looking for a reliable mechanic around the Derry/Londonderry area. I have a bad rear wheel bearing, I’m looking to save some money by buying the part myself but some shops don’t let you do that, I’m looking for someone that let me buy the part myself.

Thank you for your advice. I was just annoyed looking at the OEM MSRP price for the part being $245 when I could get a high quality part for much less.

The shop can order refurb pieces that’ll be more affordable to supplement what has to be new. Try Bow Auto Parts and see who they recommend. They have a parts list online to lookup too.

Kinetic is a great Subaru shop. I'm also a fan of Griffin Automotive in Brentwood if you're near the seacoast - I'm not sure he'll let you bring your own part, but it might be worth asking.

Scotty’s Country Auto in Exeter. Former Subaru mechanic (like 25 years). Great guy and great service.

Salem 66 in Pelhamwill do it. They just won't warranty the work if it fails. I used to work there 6 years ago and would use customer supplied parts.
