They've been talking about that project forever. Can't believe it's actually getting done.

Are you the owner of the white house on the NB side near MM 13?

Are they putting up a good sound Barrier wall for you? I have been watching construction progress and was curious

- I absolutely agree that wet socks do suck ass, and Yes they will be putting up a sound wall as part of this project. I will be nice to talk at living room volume in the back yard.

I feel bad for the kids that lost their dirtbike track. My company cleared the land and There was literally a race track back there.

And for those who didn't know, all plans & proposals by DOT can be found here.

Crazy how much documentation is in the plan for the Everett corridor widening. 330pgs of technical charts, graphs, and tables.

Some of this shit is just useless meetings with townspeople that don't want something to happen in their backyard. I remember when eversource wanted to run a cable across great bay and you'd think they were trying to open a puppy slaughtering mill. That was the point I understood why simple projects cost tens of millions of dollars... Endless meetings with lawyers and engineers billed at $500 per hour.

Could be worse. They could be getting you from the front, too.

DOT is redoing the detention ponds on either side of the house. and in the back, they are plumbing both of them together.

Detention ponds? Is that where misbehaving fish go?!?
hselomein OP t1_j7mh1ht wrote
haha, a detention pond handles the runoff from the neighborhood. In this case, it temporarily detains the water and it'll dry up in about 24 hours. A retention pond is flooded all the time and never empties.

I think they mean retention ponds.

When it's all said and done, there will be a new exit ramp with an overpass there that will connect to the East with Tsienneto Road in Derry. It will include expansion of Folsom Road, and upgrades to Tsienneto Road.
The work is spread out among 3 projects. I don't recall off hand when it will all be wrapped up. Only the first project is under construction so far.

We noticed there’s this one house that got totally exposed during this construction project. They wrapped their yard with hay bales and silt fencing and just kept tearing down all around it. Our hearts go out to them!! What a nightmare..
