Cheapest Seacoast city without living in the sticks though.

Is Rochester generally accepted to be part of the Seacoast? It seems like a stretch but I guess I don’t know what other region I’d put it in. Downtown’s closer to Lake Winni than Portsmouth Harbor…

Maybe as the crow flies, but driving time its closer to Portsmouth than the lake. It's also more integrated with the towns along the Spaulding corridor. Living here I've always felt closer to the seacoast than the lakes region.

Another way I see it is anything east of the 125 is in the Seacoast Region, so Rochester straddles the border.

20 years ago it was far worse. Now it's trying to be suburban.
