Do you like bars? Going to bars to meet people will generally only expose you to people who like to go to bars.

Go do the things you enjoy and do them in places where others are doing the same things. Then you will meet people who like the same things as you.

That can be tough for a lot of us who are introverted. It’s hard to do fun hobbies at home and meet others.

Exactly. But I'm super introverted and no one is breaking into my house to hang out with me lol

Maybe play some boardgames? There is a meetup at Boards and brews on tuesdays. They also run a giant hidden role game called blood on the clock tower where you can just drop in get a card and play along.

Seconded. I spent a lot of years depending on bars for social circles. It's a fun social outlet for meeting a variety of people, or having the occasional hook up, but most of the friends you make, the only hobby or activity you'll share is getting drunk together. Clubs or meetups are better.

If you like the nerdier side of things, there's Boards and Brews in Manchester. There's a group that meets there every Tuesday to play board games, have a bite to eat/something to drink and socialize and hang out together for a few hours. Most folks typically show up between 5-6pm.

It's a very low pressure environment with some truly awesome people! I've been going to the meetup group for three years (COVID excepting) and met so many people in Manchester this way!

I run a Meetup group called Manchester Friday Night Drinks; we go to different bar in the Manchester area every two weeks, its a great way to meet people in a casual friendly way and learn more about what's out there. Our next meetup is Friday, March 10 at Stark Brewing. https://www.meetup.com/manchester-friday-night-drinks/ .

I recommend checking out a bunch of the local breweries in the area… there seems to be more popping up every month. Great beer, and they always draw in a cool crowd of people. I personally like To Share brewery, Feathered Friend Brewing, Backyard Brewery, just to name a few

I haven't been on it in forever but I used to use the website meetup and met a lot of my good friends through that. Facebook probably has something similar.

The new Spyglass brewery is pretty nice. It’s been really crowded since it opened though.

A lot of good suggestions here, but it would help to know what kind of stuff you’re looking to do? The tough thing with bars is most people aren’t going to engage with strangers, so striking up a convo can be hard unless you’re an extrovert.

What type of people are you looking to hang out with? Manchester and Nashua both have very active bar life and you can always meet people going to those. Also I’ve got a ton of friends that have joined local beer / adult rec leagues for sports locally and love it.

Down in Newmarket, there's a pretty solid night life. The Stone Church is usually hoppin, lots of regulars. Some great restaurants all in walking distance too.

Depends on what kind of crowd you’re looking for. Karaoke nights at The Farm or Hop Knot (Manchester) have a decent amount of people, usually a 20-30s crowd. Shaskeen has some fun events. Soho and The Goat have a younger crowd, as well as 603 Bar and Grille, go at your own risk lol. There’s a group on Facebook for women in NH looking to make friends and the members host events all over NH, it’s called NH Ladies Making Friends.

I’m down to bar hop in Manchester if you’re a similar age (I’m 27)

If you aren't into bars, I'd recommend Root Awakenings on Main st. Nashua. I went the other night and it was a nice surprise. It's low key, not too crowded, and the people there were super friendly to new-comers. They serve Kava there, a pretty relaxing beverage that's conducive to conversation.
