This guy was former NH law enforcement as a deputy for both Hillsborough and Rockingham Sheriff's departments, and stole nearly $84k from an elderly/disabled person. His court date is this coming week. Wondering whether his past positions will make sentencing harder or easier on him.https://www.unionleader.com/news/crime/rochester-man-admits-charging-more-than-83-000-on-elderly-victims-credit-cards/article_ca57abee-5397-5a98-8399-798e6afe0010.html

With all due respect, shouldn’t the trial happen before you fast forward to the sentencing?

I have as much anger towards those who abuse the elderly, as I do towards those who abuse children. Personally, I’d want him out of jail, working and having his wages heavily garnished until his victim has received back every penny with interest.

In a just society those in authority would be punished more harshly than others. Unfortunately, that's not what usually happens.

The military is like that but that is one of the aspects of the military the local police are not trying to steal. Mine resistant vehicles to protect you from protesters after you murder another unarmed child? Send it over. Accountability? No thanks, back the blue.

I used to work with this guy. He's from Manchester and he's a former Marine. He used to talk about how he was scamming the VA system and collecting disability by pretending to have symptoms that he didn't actually have.
He used to work at a hospital as security and I heard that he was fired for picking some guy up by his neck. Total shitbag.

Remember Officer Goodwin in Portsmouth?

It is almost like there is a culture that encourages the abuse of power.

I know this guy better than I'd like to admit. I hope the victim gets restitution, and he gets what he deserves. I'd be interested to learn what happens to him. I'd be out for blood if someone did this to my parents. It's awful.
