I get it, because I'm pretty stoked about concord Popeyes. Which, for those uninitiated, half of their traditional charm is they will fuck up your order. Which probably won't be seen as part of the charm around here.
But there are so many people around here. Some with money, some with taste. Some with culture, some just bored. Wtf is everything 'new' to new Hampshire just am infiltration of strip mall bullshit that kinda sucks and costs too much for what it is but we heard about it?

What's the alternative though? There's not a big city in NH so it's not going to get a lot of the upscale chains. If something that's not a chain opens here, it's not a recognized brand "coming to NH", it's just a new business in NH. As for strip malls, it's a rural state, so most of your brick and mortar consumer businesses open in strip malls.

I was more talking about alternatives to chains in general. One of the best restaurants in concord, for instance, is situated exactly in a strip mall. An og strip mall from the dawn of strip malls. Kathmandu bazaar is an ethnic grocery with a food counter. Place is amazing. I want more of that. Not FoodCorp's latest territorial infiltration, if that makes sense. This state is devoid of really worthwhile food. I drive an hour an half routinely to try shit because maybe there's Caribbean in Claremont. Getting giddy for new fast food is icky, imo. That said, I am stoked for popeyes

If it's not a chain, then it's not "Thing you've heard of is coming to New Hampshire!", it's just "New thing opens!".
And I'm with you on the state's food situation. You can find good food, but you have to look a little harder for it. The big offense to me is how much people will overpraise the completely unremarkable stuff.
