In season, out of season, all the friggin time. I'd love to know what they're emptying the mag into in the pitch dark at 5 in the morning.

Likely nuisance animals. That magic 3-5 window is when everything seems to get the urge to eat chickens.

All the time. Why?

All the time every season but I expect it and it doesn't even bother me

I’m going to be very ignorant asking this. Do they have a hunting zone separated from trails. How they ensure they don’t shot on people by accident

rog_ChaiNSaW t1_je8g1qs wrote

No, hence the recommendation to wear orange during hunting season.

The basic fundamentals of shooting prevent responsible hunters from ever having a chance to shoot someone accidentally.

DeerFlyHater t1_je9f394 wrote

There is no closed season for coyote, so in reality you have 365 days to hunt them.

I hear shooting all the time. It's great. Sometimes it's hunting, sometimes it's the nearby range, sometimes it's my neighbors, and sometimes it's me. My neighbors and I usually do the late morning/early afternoon timeblock.

Nothing like I heard living in rural Minnesota all year long.

Every time I’m feeling good about hunting I hear a distant shot and I’m like welp that person just got lucky.

Private_Part t1_je9a4cw wrote

Every day. Even when it's not hunting season as long as it's not really cold I'll often hear gunshots from one of the two ranges that are a couple of miles away.

It's very relaxing.

year round daily. its white noise now

AdermGaming t1_je9vd5e wrote

I got a range by my house so I hear shots all day everyday

GraniteGeekNH t1_je9xyyy wrote

If it's noise you're wondering about, shooting ranges rather than hunting are the issue. Bangety-bangety-bangety-bang all day long when it's nice weather.

Define ‘Hunting shots’. A gun shot is a gun shot. Weapons and ammunition can make distinctive sounds, but I believe ‘Hunting shots’ would require witness, and shooter intent, at least.

Every day, in season or not. Sometimes it's at noon sometimes it's 10pm. Just an obnoxious neighbor who has a vendetta against soda.

bingqiling t1_jebgspx wrote

Not very frequently, maybe once in a while? I do live in the woods, but have very few neighbors, and only 1 of those neighbors hunts.

All the time and too often during dark winter hours when there's very little people are allowed to shoot at
