Exclusionary wastes of land and resources. Golf as a sport needs to be eradicated simply due to the proliferation of their ugly scars in naturally beautiful areas. I'm not to even going to get into the damage its growth is causing in places like Utah and Nevada where there's a full-on water crisis.

What about all the jobs the industry brings to such a rural area? What about the massive amount of taxes these places pay that help fund local schools? What about the promotion of youth sports and recreation? Golf courses aren't a scar on natural beauty, they're an integral part of the community.

Buddy, the average golf course employs 30 people. Taxes are cool, sure but I doubt it's more than a drop in the bucket in most places. I'd hardly call walking around a gently graded course for a few hours "recreation" when there are trails with anywhere from hundreds to thousands of vertical feet surrounding the area. Golf courses are a waste of resources and the land would be better off being turned into a multi-purpose park rather than an upperclass day drinking club
