Having worked with random people of the public and seen them often at high stress times, I can safely say that Iā€™m glad this isnā€™t how we do government.

There are interview with Sununu and Sherman on WMUR today and they run about ten minutes each.

Sununu was asked if he was going to run for President and he said it would be too boring.

My main takeaway between Sununu and Sherman is that they're not that far apart.

Not sure that helps Sherman's chances on election day?

Biggest differences are in pot (Sununu is still against it, but not as adamantly as he once was) and gun control (Sherman claims not to want bans, but would have signed all those bills Sununu vetoed).

Based on current polling, the race is Sununu's to lose.

What I got from the interview was that Sununu is saying yes, we will make it legal, just not now. The reason for that is distracted driving. We have had more crashes and deaths on the road this year than I can recall so maybe he has a point there.

Well, he is somewhat correct. The only real thing the Senate is capable of that impacts everyday Americans is seat judges. We see how that is going. The "Conservative" leaning court now likes to take privacy rights away from people. Starting today it is going to get even more activist. The SCOTUS session started today.

Because governors actually have to, you know, govern.

Not to say that Senators aren't important but they are legislators and not in the business of managing government agencies. They can impact it based on how they legislate but the impact isn't usually as immediate.

Funny you feel you can speak for an entire state. I would hope most of us don't "love" our politicians and are more interested in holding them accountable as public servants than we are in blindly worshipping them.

Maybe you're referring to abortion, limited gun control, expansion of charter schools, a reduction in business taxes, or campaigning against public transportation. Maybe you're just referring to his vetoes of legal weed. I can't really know without you expanding on your comment.

This is a frustration I have with a lot of posts on the internet. Someone will make a statement, but not back it up at all with any evidence or context, and then they'll pretend like anyone arguing with them, or asking follow-up questions are idiots. What's the point of a discussion board if there is no discussion? It's like trying to have a conversation by yelling out the car window and driving away.

That statement seems realistic, however I think he's a rhino. He's done some things I agree with, hasn't done things he should have,caved to the lunatic dems during the " pandemic" I'd rather a real conservative as our governor, but he may be the only thing standing in the way of complete Massachusetts-like radicalism in this state. So I am in the end, grateful for him.

I think Sununu has done a terrific job, but putting pandemic in quotes shows me he's not worried about your support. And, btw, NH is moderate (thank bejeebuz) and will always support middle of the road candidates. Opponents can tag Hassan as uber liberal and Sununu as far right but they are much more centered. Thus, their political success in NH.
