I've spoken to him downtown one time and he says he just likes making people smile.

I talked with him on Bow Street when I was coming out of work. Said he started doing it years ago for fun. Does every holiday and just drives around.

I get that's it's all in good fun, but this is actually a hazard.

Dude is local to Portsmouth & I get the impression he doesn’t take it on the highway.

That doesn't make it less of a hazard.

I'm also local to Portsmouth and see it around regularly.

If he backs into a grandma in the RiteAid parking lot (where I last saw him) everyone's tune will change.

All I'm saying is this same type of thing could be done more safely and still just as hokey and fun.

How would this not be more of a hazard at high speeds? If your primary concern is visibility - you don’t even legally need a center rear view mirror in NH. EG: work vans.

I didn't say it wouldn't be more of a hazard at high speeds, I agree with that.

My primary concern is visibility, and your counter is valid, though at least since 2018 backup cameras are mandatory.

Maybe he has one hidden in there and that negates the concern.
