Your cars must be small and inexpensive. Get a new, heavy vehicle and you'll be seeing registration fees of several hundred dollars. The municipal portion is based on list price with some depreciation for the first several years and the state portion on weight.

I live in CT with a 5 year old outback and paid more than that. Been looking to move to NH but started a business in CT that kind of needs me, so I spend weekends and summers in NH for the past 10 years. Still not enough to claim residency but that's why I'm here!

I didn’t think it even went as low as $125.
