Who do you like for electricians and plumbers to do smallish jobs in Strafford and Rockingham countries?

This fall I'd like to have a handful of small jobs done:

  • the basement only has 1 electrical outlet. I'd like someone to add 2 or 3 more.

I'd also like someone more skilled than me to replace the 3 exterior light fixtures (even if I did it right, I'd worry about fire risks). Ideally they'd install ones that I pick out and order myself.

-the faucet outside needs to be replaced.

I'd also like a leaky (currently off!) pvc pipe under one side of a double sink be replaced with a flexible pipe. The pipe in from the dishwasher is also iffy.

Is there someone you can recommend in either Strafford county or the Portsmouth end of Rockingham county who you find fairly priced, reliable, and also interested in small jobs?

I had a kid come in and redo my garage. Wish I knew what company he was with to keep him away from everyone else. My drywall guy brought him in as a subcontractor. He sent an apprentice over, never even came to my house, and charged me his labor rate. The apprentice said he'd come back to finish my 220 plug for my electric car charger and never did, left one of outlets disconnected, I had to stop him from using 14/2 on a 20amp circuit at one point, and he disconnected work I'd done to permanently wire a security camera. Needless to say, I was not impressed.

I too have had bad experiences with an electrician that my contractor brought onto the job. It's frustrating because residential electrical is pathetically easy yet they manage to do a terrible job. Nothing like paying for work that is substandard and well below the quality that you, the homeowner, could do over the weekend and with a Time-Life book from the library.
