When you back up, turn your head and look behind you. Don’t rely on your mirrors only. Also before you leave, make a show of adjusting your mirrors and seatbelt and stuff like that. Use your blinkers, obviously this is a given. If you’re nervous about parallel parking, practice at home first if you can. Use cones or markers in your driveway if you are able. Not everyone’s test is the same, you might not even do parking. As far as the knowledge test, if you don’t know/remember the answer, pick the one that makes the most sense. They’re all multiple choice

I know this is easier said than done, but being nervous will make you mess up.

Do you have a friend who took the same road test anytime recently? If so, go to the location after hours, and ask your friend to administer the road test to you, as best they can remember it.

The tests are the same everywhere.

Just study for the written, and then drive for the road. If you know your stuff you'll pass. If you don't you'll fail and you try again after you study more.

Don’t take the test until you are ready. Practice, practice, practice cause once you are on the road you are not only responsible for your life and those in your vehicle but for every other person on the road with you. Every time you drive is a road test. If you’re nervous now how will you be every time you get behind the wheel.

In short, if you have to search out the place that is easiest in order to pass, you are not ready to drive yet.

I took mine in Tamworth, but as for general tips and it's been so long since I learned how to drive so forgive me if I'm being a "no shit" kind of person, but:

  • Do you know the parallel parking trick with aligning mirrors? If not Google it and that's how you parallel park. Dummy easy.

  • Make sure your e-brake is odd (had a friend do it with it on the entire time)

  • Make sure you learn the 4 way stop order (Google FIFO stack)

  • Avoid roundabouts. Full on experienced drivers become dumbasses on those.

  • If you can choose your route try to choose it so you only need to take right turns. Turning left across traffic is much more difficult than turning right with traffic.

When they have you turn onto 28, You come off a road that doesn't allow right on red. Watch out for this. Lots of people failed at this point.

Not sure how Salem works but In Manchester u gotta take your written test first, pass, then u schedule your driving test. Usually a week after passing your computerized multiple choice test. Driving instructor will have a set route they take, your drivers Ed teacher usually will know it or should and have u practice during your driving time, Try not to do early morning during rush hour or later in the day rush hour when ever one wants to get home. Coming from a parent of 3 current pot hole drivers. Lol. Good luck.
