Have you looked at a map lately? North America, Europe, and a few other areas still have DST. South America, Africa, Asia do not. So as far as civilized, as in first world countries, you are wrong

I think I was reading something about how the EU was standardizing it a while ago, and my brain decided to keep thr "EU removes differing DST standards" and forgot the "creates single DST standard" part.
