Why? So you can leave the shop and immediately get pulled over for your tint and then get the shop in trouble? That's how this works; if they give you a pass and you get in trouble it comes back on them.

You can't have that tint here. No one is happy about it.

Your options are to take it off or not drive your car.

Edit: going to point out this guy's profile. He's one of the folks buying up investment housing, so you know, if anyone has a good shop to recommend him to...

Okay, that’s a good thing to know.

I never before lived in a place where tint was illegal. And I wasn’t even one who put the tint on - the previous owner did. So, I guess I will have to remove it. It just seems like an unnecessary expense.

What does passing car safety inspection have to do with investment properties? First of all, I don’t own any yet. But secondly, what’s wrong with that? Do you dislike capitalism? Do you dislike the ability to invest?

I abhor capitalism, but people buying up property for investment in state are hated here more than I am and I'm from Massachusetts.

Well, then maybe it’s the time to change attitude.

Good luck! :)

Not sure why I would do that when it's the underlying cause of almost all of society's ills, but sure.

I grew up in Ukraine. My parents and grandparents lived in the Soviet Union.

It’s beyond embarrassing to see how Americans romanticize and praise the regimes that killed dozens of millions of their own citizens and caused so much misery.

Capitalism is the best way of running the society humans have ever found. Try living in a communist country and tell us how it feels. Or at least read about that.

Where the fuck did I say that?

I'm not an expert, but I know enough to know unchecked capitalism is going to be the downfall of humanity. Infinite growth is not sustainable.

The likely answer is some hybrid, but in reality corruption does what it does and corrupts.

What you said was that you hated capitalism.

But there is no better system. No one knows of one yet.

And even in America, capitalism is by no means “unchecked”. There are so many restrictions and regulations. Try living in the EU, try living in Singapore, China, and see how it compares.

America is one of least corrupt countries in the world, and although it is not perfect, it’s ridiculous to say you hate capitalism or complain about someone buying investment properties, thinking that somehow is an evil act.

We have entirely different world views and it's not worth debating any longer.

Good luck with your tint.
