I order a fresh turkey every from Mr. Steer in Londonderry. You can pick them up the week of Thanksgiving.

I've seen a number of wild turkeys on the side of the road feeding in the grass lately. I don't know if it's legal to capture them and prepare them yourself.

Right- illegally poach one of the three Big Game animals in NH. Enjoy that 50k fine from Fish and Game and a potential lifetime ban on hunting.

Have you seen Rocky? Have you chased a turkey that's domestic?

I don't recall a turkey scene but I'd assume that you'd use a net.

My mother used to buy live chickens in Chinatown and butcher them in the kitchen sink.

Yeah , see, Rocky chased a chicken. You butchered chickens. A turkey is another beast. A net sounds horrific for all involved. I have raised Turkeys for 10ish years now. We get wild ones in the yard in the Fall and Spring. You're gonna want to buy them from the suggested places.

My biggest boy is about 70lbs undressed :-D i don't eat them , though, so they just wander around like dinosaurs.

If you feel like driving up to my home I’ll let you get yourself a turkey or two. Every other day I have about 18+ coming through my 2 acre lot. I can provide the right tools for the job too 🤣

We order from Mr. Steer too. Call and order whatever size you need and pick up Thanksgiving week. 603-434-1444

Keep in mind that a fresh turkey cooks faster than a previously frozen one.
