I’m getting ready to make a DMV appointment to transfer my inmate card from California to a full-fledged American, but I’m confused about the costs involved. I have a commercial license with tankers, hazmat and doubles/triples, plus a motorcycle endorsement and it’s a real ID. According to what I read on the NH DMV website… does this really add up to about $200???

Can’t answer about the costs but I can tell you that the DMV here is nothing like that in California. Make an appointment and have your forms filled out ahead of time. The people are friendly, helpful, and willing to answer questions. You will be amazed!

Check with your employer, but I haven’t seen much in the way of doubles and triples here. Not CDL smart, but that may lower costs.

Conrats on the move. Welcome to NH.

Making an appointment can reduce the wait.

Nashua sites in particular seem to always be crowded, try to make your appointment at one of the quieter locations like Milford.
