I forgot to mention customer service goes with great shop. Shooters fuckin sucks

I have noticed that Shooters in Hookset is generally unhelpful. I was snowed the first time by the guy being super friendly at the NFA counter, but subsequent visits have been less than exemplary. I have yet to purchase anything there.

surprised to hear of shaky service at shooters have always found them super helpful and knowledgeable.

I've found their Amherst store to have generally friendlier staff than Hooksett.

I’ve sold some handguns there and purchased others and have had only positive experiences. That’s too bad to hear

Northeast Munitions is by far the best gun store in New Hampshire.

I’ve purchased guns from all of the other stores in this thread, and none can compare.

At any given gun store, you’re at risk of some boomer behind the counter steering you towards a shitty gun; and there’s additionally the problem of the shitty gun even being stocked at the store in the first place.

I can personally vouch for the prices, choice of inventory, and customer service at Northeast Munitions. I’m personally never going anywhere else.

+1 for these guys. Awesome shop!

Northeast Munitions in Merrimack is by far the best. Always beat pricing and they have an awesome inventory always. Same road /side as Merrimack firearms just go north a mile or 2. Right next to the cvs

Hossbog t1_iyy3fok wrote

I vouch for them as well, great ammo prices, constantly updated firearm inventory on their website!

Shooter's Outpost (Hookset)

I hate the place, but they have the best and biggest selection

Wicked Weaponry is good for AR stuff

When I moved here I bought a rifle online and sent it to shooter's. I showed up to pick it up with a vehicle registration with my correct NH address and a passport, which the ATF affirms on their own website are enough to meet the residency and ID requirements for firearm purchase.

Shooter's would not release the firearm to me and after a week of back and forth they sent it to another FFL who did.

Fuck them steppers.

Downvoters are boot lickers

Yea, their CS is absolute trash. I hate shopping there, so I usually try things out then buy them online. They do have some sweet mk3/5 scopes and I might buy one of the rails they have since its OOS everywhere else, but it pains me to admit that...

Fuck shooters outpost. Never will I even step foot near it again. Worst customer service and a right delayed is a right DENIED. If I have 3 days no response I should be able to go pick up my rifle or gun.

Oh no do they do that?

Kittery is your best bet. There used to be a good place in Hooksett called Rileys but they are gone

3

Kv603 t1_iz08qla wrote

If you liked Riley's (before the long decline), check out Pete's Gun & Tackle (Hudson).

Similar in many ways, down to the "Is that mildew or is it black mold?" smell.

It's outside of that range (about 45 minutes from Manchester) but if you haven't been to KTP, it's well worth the drive.

PLAYERUBG t1_iywdufm wrote

KTP = Kittery Trading Post

Are NH residents allowed to purchase (firearms) in Maine?

1

K3CAN t1_iywtdwl wrote

Yes for long arms.

Handguns need to be purchased in New Hampshire, but they have a tiny little shop over the border in Portsmouth that they'll drive the gun to for you at no cost.

Automatic-Raspberry3 t1_iyxragu wrote

If you are a regular they’ll transfer long guns there. And avoid sales tax. I know at one point they had the highest inventory east of the Mississippi

[deleted] t1_iywdziq wrote

KTP is the tits and worth the drive.

Shooters outpost in hooksett by far my favorite spot. they have a cool little museum & every time I go in I find someone cool that I may have missed before. they are constantly adding to the collection but it’s pretty unique worth checking out that kinda stuff should be a lil fee to enter so the fact it’s free should not be taken for granted.

1

Timzawesome t1_iz2nqdd wrote

Go to the shooters museum once, because it is awesome, but never go back. Northeast munitions is by far the best gun store in the area.

Wildlife sports outfitters right near Lake massabesic is great. They don't have the selection shooters has but service is miles better. They have everything you need to build an ar15 too if you're after that.

Pete’s gun and tackle has things come and go all the time. There’s DW as well mostly ammo

−1

Hossbog t1_iyy42gs wrote

Pete’s is an absolute shit hole, expensive ammo, boomer-ass fudd owner/guy running the register. You can get the same shitty prices with better selection at GSIR 1000’ down the road and not have to worry about getting hepatitis.

Milford firearms is good also

−1

JJWhitman78 t1_iyw5spl wrote

Milford isn’t a bad shop but their prices are high. Old Glory in Mason has a much larger selection and you’ll save yourself some change. The last AR I bought was $150 cheaper at Old Glory than what Milford was charging..

4

jgren91 t1_iyw69wo wrote

I haven't bought in a long time. I bought from Milford like 10 years ago. I follow the fb page and he seems like he's got cool inventory coming in
