Hi! My friend and I created a facebook group during COVID and we are transitioning to a new Page/Group to explore failures of the state to implement government programs during COVID.

Personally, I had nightmare with Emergency Rental Assistance and my landlord causing me to now be evicted even though I paid rent through October, and held the November rent (due 11/15) she refused the Rental Assistance and has already issued an eviction notice that expired yesterday. I am sick of this shit quite frankly.

Follow the page and or Join the Group and stay tuned. https://www.facebook.com/PandemicFalloutinNH

Out of curiosity. Are you on a lease or are you going month to month ? Does rental assistance pay the whole amount of rent?

I’m sorry you’re having to deal with this.

What does this months rent have to do with COVID? Did you invent a time machine in 2020 or something?

While there are exceptions, by and large landlords are narcissistic parasites.

No worries I get it at the end of the day. I was able to get by on my own without it until November and I can recover in couple weeks if barely I want to but do I want to do now give this woman money when she’s locked me out of my shit next month it will just be something else.

I’m just freaking fed up. I have worked my whole life since I was 14 years old I get disability and it’s not enough. My kid has been on a daybed and a one bedroom apartment for eight years because I don’t make enough to save anything after I pay bills. I used to own a house when I was married. There’s a ton of health available if I had 16 kids hanging off of my tit but I have a brain disease and I don’t think that would be the best idea.

In other words, you're month to month/tenant at will? Your post said you withheld the November rent; was it for one of the usual reasons (which usually requires documentation of why it was withheld and deposit of the rent into escrow)? Or did you simply decide not to pay your rent bill? Assuming the landlord followed the requirements of RSA 540, in issuing the demand for payment and notice to quit, are you simply squatting until the sheriff's deputies "insist" on your departure?

Legally … almost technically yes. I am literally having the hardest time getting legal help. I have been in chaos since the 15th. She said no to the check she had in her possession since about 11/1 from the program. When there was an oil spill and I had all my stuff in the basement wrecked and had to deal with the cops to get her to let me get my stuff (pics of my dad who died etc). I wanted legal advice before the expiration date of the notice. There is mediation on the notice, spoke with them and it’s not right for the case. There are two legal aid places in NH they are HELL to get through to. One that I have been trying to get through to since day 2- called me back on Thursday at almost 4 PM and told me to call back Monday through Friday till two. How TF.

At this point with timing and everything I can either pay or I can say is this bitch going to turn around and pull some thing in the next month, next few months.

For example now - her lawyer came and installed cameras with a motion light at my door. I know this is supposedly a big no no everybody loses their minds and tells me that’s illegal well… is it? I need legal help and a break I guess.
