Pretty much asking if anyone knows any LL Bean-style brands (clothing, decor, blankets, etc) that actually make their goods in New Hampshire or New England more broadly? Looking for brands that cater to the outdoors/rural/mountain/lodge style that LL Bean does.

Moving back to New England after a few years in Florida (thank god) and am going to need to buy new winter clothing as well as blankets and other home goods. The Florida vibe won't feel at home in New England. Looking for both practical outerwear, cozy at-home clothing, and decor/blankets/home goods. I'd like to support local businesses and domestic manufacturing.

Can't wait to be back with ya'll

Edit: Thank you everyone this has been a gold mine

Timberland is from NH, but doesn’t make their stuff here. That’s all I know

Timberland closed down their Newmarket factory way back in 1984. Production moved to Tennessee and North Carolina before going overseas in 1995.

Origin is in Maine, and their big selling point is that the actually produce the raw materials that go into their products.

One of the few companies that actually do that.

Everyone else is posting neighboring states production too, so I'll just add Rancourt and Quoddy -- both make leather shoes and boots that are exceptionally high quality and are made in Maine. Both are known mostly for their handsewn moc styles but both do other styles as well.

I walked a couple miles in Lodz, Poland to a mall looking for some shoes (was on business trip and forgot business shoes). Thought it'd be cool to pick up something local. What was the only shoe store in the mall? Timberland. At twice the price I could get them here.

Not sure about lifestyle brands, but North Country Smokehouse sells incredible sausage and other meats. I believe they stock North Country at Wholefoods and other markets across the country.

Ruger the gun company is also in Newport, NH. Maybe they have some clothing?

I'm from NH and used to love LL Bean. I've bought several women's flannel shirts from there and they were made in El Salvador. I couldn't believe it when I saw that on the collar tag. I find most of their clothes way overpriced but the quality is good.

If you’re going college retro, Coed Naked has done a reboot. Still remember them having reps selling shirts outside our cafeteria in college in the 80’s.

Ragged Mountain makes THE BEST heavy duty waterproof totes. They also do quality fleece tights & hoodies. Located in North Conway.

Spandits is in Maine & makes very bright leggings/running tights, headbands & hats geared towards active women.

Molly Mundy has trucker hats with her watercolor illustrations of Mt Washington on them & original art & prints.

Hanna Lucy makes winter hats & headbands. She also has a calendar of her artwork as well as prints. I think she has hats printed with her art, too?

KCMF is a Maine-made furniture line.

Sasha Lennon is a Maine potter.

Erin Flett is a home decor line based out of Maine.

If I can think of more, I’ll update! Also once you get here go visit Portland, Maine for a day trip…. there’s a few really nice shops that stock locally made items.

Ragged Mountain Equipment is located in Intervale and their factory is up there too. Everything that's their brand is made by locals and tested in the White Mountains. They use top-notch fabrics from Polartec as well as Schoeller and the stuff is great - not to mention it looks really good, too.

Solid writeup is here: https://raggedmountain.com/white-mountains-tested

Good Luck!
