Just saw a fox run out into the woods behind my house, if you live in Belmont, specifically near Glenridge rd or Church st, keep an ear out and kids inside. He wasn’t exactly small either from what I saw.

A fox? Better evacuate the whole area.

A fox running through your backyard is pretty harmless to anything that is not a chicken or a very small pet. If it is hanging around, or behaving oddly, then it might be cause for concern, but fearmongering about one passing through is pretty pointless.

Do you mean a coyote? Foxes aren’t anything to be afraid of unless they have rabies. They will actively avoid humans.

Lads, I don't know how to stress this more thoroughly but I saw some very suspicious crows this morning. They were behaving more like seagulls than crows which is very worrying, all I am trying to say is hide yo wife... hide yo kids.

There was a sighting of those terribly violent chipmunks people keep talking about. A real character from a horror story from what I’ve seen. Save yourself!

You’ve put the entire state of New Hampshire at risk by not burning down the forest behind your house. That fox will kill everyone

A fox? Lmfao. It's far more afraid of anything you care about than you should be of it!

This is excellent advice! I’d like to add that you should never dig in the ground, I did and barely escaped the earthworms I turned up.

We've got one that visits our front porch very late at night. Keeps the rodents down. And now I'll jinx it: haven't had a single mouse in the house this fall/winter.

Yeah what a pile on... you're good OP no worries. Fox sighting. I dig it. I get excited too and I've been in NH over 20 years.

Chill out y’all, I got chickens, and this is t the first time this bugger’s been around, and I know that some nearby houses have kids, all I was doing was making sure people were aware for the sake of some safety. I know full well they aren’t super dangerous. My little sister got up close once before it ran off. If she could scare it, it’s no threat. But I just wanted people to know. Especially those with kids and chickens or small pets.

I know your post is well intentioned, but you're going to get clowned for warning people in NH that a fox may be in the area. It's like saying there might be a tree in the forest. We are aware and it's really not a threat.

People are going to give you flak because you're reporting the sighting of a common animal as a warning. I know you were well intentioned but seeing a fox is nothing special for most people in NH. Appreciate the concern for your chickens though. I had a fisher wreak havoc on my own chicken coop and one killed my cat years ago.
