There’s a salvage yard in Exeter by the train tracks. They have that kind of stuff. I’ve found many treasures there.

Check out the Vermont Salvage Exchange in White River Junction. It’s an enormous warehouse of old house parts - sinks, doors, hinges, all kinds of stuff. I was looking for a small sink that would fit in a very small 1/2 bathroom in my old house - and they had the exact one I needed.

On FB Marketplace a surprising number of people give away or sell cheap items being swapped out during renovations and upgrades.

There is one in Plymouth NH off I93 exit 26 on Tenney Mountain Highway (Route 25.)

The re-store that benefits habitat for humanity in newington is incredible if you hit it at the right time. I was able to buy a large kitchen island that would have cost a few thousand for under $300 and a beautiful old Dutch door for about $150 among other things those were just the best of what I was able to get but if you get there at the right time you can get some amazing deals.

White River Junction in Vermont has two great locations for this, Vermont Salvage and Recover.

Drive around the suburbs of Boston look for houses with dumpsters out front and ask if they’re getting rid of anything good or if you can dig through. You can get a lot of VERY nice stuff for free this way, plus it’s a win-win for you and the contractor.

they have this one area that's all antique bathroom stuff, and for the life of me I cannot figure out what one of the items is. It's like a very tiny bathtub, or a huge bidet. Someone said they were antique sanitorium bathtubs, where an 1800s nurse would strongarm someone into the thing and hose them down before chaining them to a bed. I'd love to find out if that's true, because I might need something like that for my work-from-home office.

Just drive around Sullivan County. We have tons of antique shops and old scrap lying around outside homes. Come grab the junk!

Agreed .I picked up a window recently for my sister in laws house 48x69 so big window for 75$ . Was in great shape .

They have lots of doors and hardware but trying to outfit an entire house may be iffy due to dimensions needed but if you are doing it slowly could be the ways to go

Take a look at the list of MA towns ranked by average income and go for a drive around. If you stop to chat with the people working you’re going to get stuff like beautiful granite countertops, complete vanities, appliances, built in closet shelving etc. There is so much money floating around out there it’s unreal.

Not sure of anywhere in that area. Sorry I couldn’t be more help. Unfortunately everyone wants antique fixtures, as a plumber I often see them and ask about them and even offer cash but to no avail. I have a porcelain wall mount lav that I’d be willing to give you but it’s not a stylish antique.

Many of the town Solid Waste, Transfer Station, Town Dumps have areas for upcycling.
