What are your favorite trails you'd be willing to share publicly? Just bought skis for the first time. Not a huge newbie though I have ski'd a lot of Alpine and pretty much got the hang of it today. Thanks friends and neighbors see you out there.

Green Woodlands is like Narnia. This massive, beautifully groomed area of trails in the middle of nowhere with warming huts and hot coco...

I always have the hardest time finding the entrances though.

And the guy who owns it is like the nicest guy on earth. He can’t except payment due to legal reason so says he only accepts smiles.

The state will groom some popular trails (lincoln woods..) but unfortunately they get post holed by hikers and snow shoe-ers because I guess the ski tracks looks easier to walk in or something.

Most of the fire roads get groomed real well by sleds. The skiing is usually great esp if you have metal edges. You have to stay vigilant as those guys do like to go fast and are often drinking.

Mountain bike trails and any kind of flat or undulating open forests are great for xc skis.

What part of the state are you in?

Nanomocomuc trail along the Kanc.....it goes from Covered Bridge campground area all the way to Bear Notch rd along the swift river. It's ungroomed and has people snowshoeing and hiking, but it's a beautiful little run.
