How’s it a double standard? Federal law is federal law. Whether you agree with the law or not, it must be followed. I would think the communities we serve would expect that much. I think the feds have compromised quite a bit by not clamping down on states that have legalised weed. At any time they could choose to enforce cannabis laws in those states, however they have not.

Allow me to spell it out for you: It is a double standard for alcohol to be legal while cannabis is not; especially when the consequences of alcohol abuse are many times worse than the consequences of cannabis abuse. It is a legal distinction which can, and should, be changed.

Okay, I agree with you 100%. When you said double standard, I thought you were implying that officers aren’t allowed to partake in cannabis. I agree, alcohol is far worse than cannabis and aught to be legalised federally. However, that is not the case.
