My birthday is tomorrow and I’ve recently gotten into wings. Where should I go and what kind of wings should I order?

archie moores in new haven They still do them real good.
seconding this
Dew Drop Inn
Hard Hat Cafe North Haven
744 west in west haven
Dew Drop Inn over in Derby is the only answer.
Third-ing
Dry. Ain’t it.
Capotorto’s throws down with em. Want something extra crispy and different? The bonchon chain in downtown New Haven.
If you like Indian, Sherkaan’s wings are amazing. The meat just fell off the bones.
Dew Drop Inn
In the city, Archie Moore’s and Next Door. Outside, Dew Drop.
I’ve also heard but can’t confirm, that Blind Rhino is good. They are a permanent fixture at Tribus now.
Dew Drop in Derby or just haul it over to TK’s in Danbury where they give you free wings for your birthday.

The doob wings are so good!!
Archie Moore's used to be better. Wings are still okay, but definitely less meaty and much drier than before.
For my money, I like New West Cafe in Westville.
dew drop… literally anything
BBQ Chicken for Korean wings. Dew drop inn wings are tiny, over cooked, and over priced
+1 for TK's. TK's had the best wings in New Haven until the city opened a school across from them and effed their zoning
I am the biggest 744 Stan (prob spent every dime I earned there in college lol) but dew drop is the only answer. 744 slapssss but few drop is next level
Bonchon Bonchon New Haven
If you're staying in New Haven, Ricky D's Rib Shack.
These are probably easily the best in New Haven. Next Door has surprisingly fantastic wings (for a non-BBQ place). Mecha has excellent wings.
Obsessed with Wing Madenss. So many flavors and the buffalo really is SPICY! They have great fries too.
Southern wings express in West Haven does good take out.
For me, the Caribbean jerk from Southern Wings Express in West Haven is the best flavor around.
Pouring one out for Humphreys….
probably some of the best chicken i’ve ever had
i was gonna comment this!!! asian fusion >>
Nah once you have Dew Drop, every other wing joint is just vying for second place.
Dew Drop. Worth the short drive.
I never realized that’s why they closed, I always thought it was because the CVS(?) bought that property
New West is definitely a sleeper pick
Side Street in Hamden
Dew Drop Inn sounds pretty good though... similar to what I liked about TK's- the small crunchy wings. TK's was always packed, no way they sold that business unless forced. They must have been doing like 2 million a year in sales
Both are good! Dew Drop has more flavors, but TK’s has the better space.
I moved away from New Haven 16 years ago, and both am a foodie and am married to a foodie, and Southern Wings is probably on the top 5 restaurants I miss most, possibly even top 3.
Second new west. They serve wings really late too. Delaneys has great wings as well. Both are way better than Archie moores
Side street wings are very underrated.
BWW
TKs New Haven (and some other businesses) closed as part of the project that resulted in the College & Crown Apartments.
Did their chicken strips change to something awful like the Fairfield location? Their strips are closer to badly coated KFC tenders at this point.
They’re pretty good but I wouldn’t say they’re around New Haven.
Yea I know the feeling. moved away from new haven and I never realized how good the food was there compared to other cities on the east coast.
If your into Korean wings, give BBQ Chicken a go.
Ricky D’s rib shack… you wont regret it. Delicious food, good price, good people. BBQ chicken is also really good but it’s Korean style
Mikro in Hamden has smoked then fried wings... usually
