Hip hop culture glorifies violence. I have students in ‘music videos’ waving guns at age 15-16.

Is this in east rock? Are there areas without gun violence in new haven? We are about to move there and this makes me very nervous

Old people: "I hate how rap music glorifies gun violence!"

Also old people: "My favorite movie? Well Dirty Harry is up there. I mean, that one scene where he puts the 45 magnum in his face! Clint Eastwood is so cool.

whatever would we do without your opinion. I've lived in East Rock for 20 years, it is overwhelmingly sanitized to the point of absurdity. 15 years ago - a little rough but still decently nice. Now - it's basically a theme park for white people from the midwest

That's absolutely what's being discussed. You claim black people are more violent, I just gave you an example of two of the most violent people who have ever lived and they're both white. And you're all "no that's now how this works just agree with meeeeeeee!!!!"I don't know what's worse, being a racist or a crybaby, but you my friend are both.

New Haven is significantly safer now than it was back in the 80s. Those were rough times. Downtown had nothing but a dying shopping mall. None of these fancy restaurants and night clubs. No fancy Apple store in Broadway. Significantly higher crime rates.

East shore has the least number of shootings in the city. I’ve been in this section for a decade and I can’t remember even one.
