We would like to begin volunteering as a family, including with our kids, range age 6-14, for an organization in the New Haven area. I know lots of places seem to have age limits (which makes sense, depending on the volunteering needs), and there have been lots of posts here before about volunteering opportunities, but I haven't found much information about things appropriate for kids as well. Thanks!

You might be able to register your family for something at CT Foodshare in Wallingford.

United Way of Greater New Haven usually hosts events that would welcome kids. I would recommend looking into that!

Happy to help! I did it for a while and it was a great experience for both families.

There is a bottle and can sort at the West Haven Animal Shelter the third Saturday of every month, 9am-12pm that is family friendly, just sign the liability waivers.
