Any suggestions on art supply stores. Looking to get set up to take oil painting classes and want to cost out the materials list then buy when I register.

Hulls art supply on chapel street, small store but have everything you need and then some. Helpful staff, well organized store.

Artist and craftsman supply also on chapel, solid store with good selection.

Jerry’s artarama in Norwalk and west Hartford, great store with different product lines than other local stores. Worth a visit if you get into painting.

Hobby lobby / michael’s will have the basic materials you’ll need. really aren’t that bad if you’re just starting out.

Two main places: Jerrys Artarama in West Hartford or Norwalk if you're looking for more variety in selection. If you're less picky but still want a decent selection, check out Hull's on Chapel. Both places are well priced.

Hulls on Chapel. But they do cater to the architecture school a bit more.

Artist and Craftsman is 7000 square feet of art supplies that are priced well. Hull's is selling to Yale $$$ and is well stocked but tiny.

If you are dabbling, try EcoWorks in North Haven. It is a secondhand store so it may not have all or exactly what you need but it is super cheap and a nonprofit!
