My husband and I are relocating to the New Haven area in a couple weeks from Texas and I am in need of finding a new tattoo artist to help finish a knee piece and start on my next idea. Any recommendations for artists that specialize in heavy black line work would be appreciated!

Depends on the style. Darius and Rich are really good but I wouldn't go to them if I liked minimalist or water color style tattoos.

Darius and Rich are both crazy talented. Darius does mostly American traditional style tattoos with very bold and bet well shaded colors. Rich does really intricate line work tattoos. Both very good snd well respected. Eric the owner does mostly Japanese pieces. All good at what they do. Really chill shop.

Final question, how are they with numbing cream? I know some shops are completely against it while others don’t care. Typically I don’t need it, but with my knee I’ve found it makes it easier to sit without uncontrolled movement
